How to Add Calendars to Blogger

Gadgets are one way you can customize your Blogger page. A gadget adds a a customizable element to your blog. Many gadgets are available on the Blogger service, including pages, followers, polls, RSS feeds and calendars. Adding a calendar to your page allows you to display the current month, date and year, which may enhance the design element of your blog. Alternate types of calendars, such as event calendars, are also available.

Visit the Blogger website and sign in to your account (see “Resources”).

Click the downward-pointing arrow next to the blog to which you wish to add a calendar. A drop-down menu will appear.

Click the “Layout” link.

Click on the “Add a Gadget” link in the location you want your calendar to appear. A pop-up window will open.

Click the “More Gadgets” link in the pop-up menu. Type “Calendar” into the search box, located on the top-right of the pop-up menu, and hit the “Enter” key to initiate the search.

Press the blue button next to the calendar you wish to add to your Blogger page.

Type a title for your calendar in the Title box and enter the height, in pixels, of your calendar into the Height box. If you are adding an alternative type of calendar, such as an event calendar, enter the requested information into the corresponding fields.

Click the orange “Save” button to save the changes. The pop-up window will close.

Click the orange “Save Arrangement” button, located on the top toolbar, on the Layout page to save the changes to your Blogger page. The calendar will now appear on the page.
